The fat-daddy original x86 Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Text Adventure Game. It still works on everything up to Windows XP.

InfoCom, original producer, has long since finished circling the bowl - so no, I do not still have the c source for it from all those long dirty decades ago. Basically - unzip the game files to a folder you will remember. Double Click on the game file 'HITCHHIK.EXE' from explorer and it will kick up a splash screen.

Includes hoopy PDF with images of the original packaging for the game.

You will want to google up text adventure game commands - but to get started, type in 'turn on the light' in response to the spinning room. Then give it instuctions as you go along. 'Look' is a good command to remember.

I am not including the hint file because, well, frankly I didn't have it back when and I managed to figure it out. It's how we old AV geeks seperate fans from poser's really.
